Lisa Vickers

Lisa was born in New York and moved to Versailles as a teenager. Her involvement with the church began when her three young children attended childcare, which she affectionately considered their home away from home. Lisa enjoyed participating in summer field trips and served on the childcare committee, forming connections with staff and parents alike. When her church’s minister retired, her three teenagers suggested they try Lafayette Christian Church, a decision made over 20 years ago. Since then, Lafayette has provided unwavering support for her family with kindness and compassion, making it a cherished community in Lexington.

Today, Lisa serves as an Elder, Treasurer, and Chair of the childcare committee. She works at Central Bank, has three adult children, one grandson, seven grand-cats, and two grand-dogs. Lisa enjoys walking her two dogs, Ace and Stella, spending time with family, gardening, and volunteering to help others whenever possible.
